Sweet second-chance romance

When You Smile was my introduction to Melissa Brayden’s writing, and Dream a Little Dream confirmed that this author creates lovely stories with amazing characters.
This book was a sweet second-chance romance with enough sad moments to make me shed some tears.
It also has a surprise reveal that I didn’t see coming and a small-town community that made me feel warm and cozy.
I loved Kyle and Savanna. Their first meeting nearly got me giggling, but I was definitely kicking my feet and smiling like a fool.
Savanna was endearing and had a knack for public announcements. I felt deeply for her and truly understood her reaction after getting hurt. As for Kyle… is there a word to describe her? I could feel her aura bleed through my screen. Her flirting and ability to get through Savanna’s defense left me swooning one or two times. I honestly don’t know how Savanna managed to stand on business so 10 out of 10 for her effort.
I really enjoyed Dream a Little Dream and can’t wait to read another Melissa Brayden’s book.

Wonderful
Format: Paperback
This was a hard book to put down. The characters of Svanna & Kyle are so well developed, as our their families and friends, who just enhance the whole story. When Savanna is left on the bridge, my heart broke, was amended later, and fulfilled by the end of the book.

I loved this book right from the get-go. The snappy repartee between Savanna and Kyle made me laugh and shiver with delight all through this book. Loved this book so much

First, it’s a cute story with a great themes of: younger older woman, daughter‘s friend, disgruntled with family. I have to admit every time the main character was talking to her father I was so incredibly annoyed. It brought up all the conversations I’ve ever had with misogynist in my life. Definitely well written.
On happier notes; the love story, the meddling neighbor/landlord, cute child, and kittens! Really, what story isn’t made better by kittens?
Seriously this is an exceptionally well written story with fantastic characters, plot lines, and a great ending.

Dr. Rowan Colchester, newly embracing her true self after a difficult divorce, is not prepared for the whirlwind that follows a passionate encounter with a younger woman. When fate reunites her with Dr. Simone Doucette, an idealistic doctor seeking solace in a Cape Cod ER, their undeniable connection becomes fraught with complications. The revelation of their unexpected personal link adds a layer of tension that challenges not only their burgeoning relationship but also their careers and reputations. While the “sleeping with your daughter’s best friend” trope initially presents a hurdle, the novel compensates with a well-developed plot that offers depth beyond the romance.
