Plectranthus australis - Swedish Ivy (Green) also known as Swedish Begonia and Creeping Charlie is a member of the Lamiaceae family of plants and is native to South Africa. An old-fashioned favorite, Swedish Ivy is fast growing and easily propagated. The leaves of the Swedish Ivy have a sweet scalloped edge and it will bloom with light white/purple flowers. Dead heading the spent blooms will allow new flowers to bloom more quickly. Plectranthus australis - Swedish Ivy (Green) is considered an evergreen perennial that prefers part sun indoors. Direct sunlight will burn the leaves, so place the plant in indirect light. Keep soil moist and don’t allow to dry out. Use a well-drained soil to promote good root health and discourage rot.
