Adjustable Load Leg
Linear Side Impact Protection (LSP)
The Load Leg, a virtual standard in Europe, is now available on the Base 2. The Load Leg provides additional support between the child restraint and the vehicle, allowing the Aton 2 to more effectively absorb and distribute crash energy.
The Leg dramatically reduces forward pitching of the seat, keeping the child in the prescribed position during the entire crash event. This reduces the risk of spinal cord injury due to stretching, which can be caused if the infant seat pitches too far forward.
The LSP side protectors on the Aton 2 transfer the initial impact of a side impact to the seat's shell.
The optimized structure of the shell absorbs the forces and channels them away from your baby resulting in a 40% increase in safety.
World Class Safety
- Excellent Side Impact Protection: The LSP devices in combination with the flexible, energy absorbing shell, thick EPS foam, and extra thick padded covers, absorb and distribute crash forces away from your child especially during side-impact collisions.
- Dual Weight Ranges: The Aton 2 offers dual weight ranges to help make sure your seat is reclined at the proper angle according to the weight of your child. One range accommodates children from 4–22 pounds and the other, 22–35 pounds.
- European Install: When installing the Aton without the Base, a front mounted belt guide allows the preferred ""European"" method where the shoulder belt wraps around the front of the carrier adding additional stability.
- A Steel Chassis: A solid steel spine running through the Aton 2 Base creates metal to metal contact through the Load Leg, infant carrier, and the vehicle for added strength and properly managed crash forces.
- Dual Action Release: A green safety button indicates a secure connection has been made between the carrier and the Base. This button is part of a two-step process needed to remove the Carrier from the Base, preventing accidental release.
- Certified: All CYBEX seats meet and exceed FMVSS 213 Standards and are approved by the FAA for air travel.
- Latest Safety Technologies: The seats are outfitted with the latest safety equipment including an extra wide five-point harness, padded shoulder and buckle belts, premium LATCH connectors, and anti-rebound protection.
EASY INSTALLATION
Whether you use LATCH or vehicle belts, the Aton 2 Base is truly easy to use.
- Innovative Belt Tensioner: The Aton 2 Base uses a unique Belt Tensioning Plate for a quick, simple and secure installation when using either LATCH or vehicle belts. Simply remove the slack from the belts and close the plate for a super easy and tight install.
- Recline Foot: A four-position, spring activated leveling foot makes reclining the Aton 2 easy. The dual ranges level indicator makes sure your child is reclined at the proper angle.
- Adjustable Load Leg Foot: The foot of the Load Leg adjusts from 10¾ to 18¾ inches to allow firm contact between the foot of the Load Leg and the vehicle floor.
- Premium Latch Connectors: We use only premium LATCH Connectors on our Base, making for a quick and easy installation. LATCH Connectors can be stored in the Base for out of the way storage when not in use.
- Free Latch Guides: LATCH Guides easily hook onto your vehicle's lower LATCH anchors to help make car seat installation easier while at the same time protecting your vehicle seats. Keep a pair in each car for easy transfer of car seats between vehicles.

A Revolution of Faith and Freedom

Eric Metaxas’s Revolution: The Birth of the Greatest Nation in the History of the World presents the American founding as far more than a political dispute over taxes or power—it is portrayed as an epic struggle between liberty and tyranny, virtue and corruption, good and evil. Through vivid storytelling and rich historical detail, Metaxas casts the Revolutionary era as a moral drama in which ordinary men were called to extraordinary courage against overwhelming odds in their fight for freedom. The book compellingly shows how patriots like Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, John Adams, Abigail Adams, Benjamin Rush, James Otis, Henry Knox, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Thomas Paine, George Washington, Martha Washington, and others, understood the conflict not merely as resistance to British overreach, but as a defense of God-given liberty against arbitrary, and often brutal, power.
A particularly striking theme throughout the book is the Founding Fathers’ deep reliance on Divine Providence. Metaxas highlights how many believed that human rights flowed not from kings or governments, but from God Himself, and that the outcome of the Revolution ultimately rested in His hands. Prayer, biblical conviction, and appeals to Providence are woven into the narrative, reminding readers that the Founders often saw themselves as instruments in a larger story unfolding under God’s sovereign care. Indeed, Providence often revealed His hand in altering the weather and divinely guiding the patriots as they fought the British forces. A New Classic
Format: Kindle
I pre-ordered, so I was able to get the PDF and start reading early. Of all the books I own on the American Revolution, I think this one stands to become my "go to." It is encyclopedic in scope, but deftly avoids becoming a drudgery or a slog through a mire of textbook facts. Somehow, Eric has managed to include a great deal of detail without losing any of the drama. It’s the story that rises to the fore in a gripping tale that just happens to be true (and much more than that, is our heritage). All the trademark “Metaxas” hallmarks are here: judiciously placed humor and lightheartedness that never descends into silliness, seriousness that somehow never lacks in winsomeness, depth that never smothers. He manages to portray both the soberness that the subject deserves without losing the hopefulness that the story of the Revolution should inspire in us. And along the way, you’ll find yourself better understanding what “went down” and (just as importantly) what it means to you today. Excellent work. If you think another history book on the American Revolution cannot inspire you or keep your attention, this one is up to the challenge.

The History Teacher I Always Wished For

With his trademark wit and his eye for those wonderfully absurd details that most historians tend to overlook, Metaxas drew me deeply into the story. I found myself laughing out loud one moment and profoundly moved the next. The tiny anecdotes and humorous asides were not distractions at all — they were precisely what made these towering figures suddenly feel human and unforgettable.
Eric makes these historical figures flesh-and-blood again. He brings both heroes and villains vividly to life in a way that makes the drama of America’s birth feel immediate, thrilling, and deeply personal.
In short, Eric Metaxas is the history teacher I always wished I had. At 600 pages, this book reads with the ease and momentum of a paperback novel, yet carries extraordinary depth and scholarship. In the end, I came away with a renewed love for American history and a deeper gratitude for the souls who made this great country possible.

A fun, inspiring, thought-provoking read.
Format: Kindle
A witty, learned page-turner, replete with wacky anecdotes but suffused by wisdom and patriotic love. Metaxas shows how the biblical view of the human person made America possible, and weaves throughout the story pieces of evidence that Providence actively aided the pious patriots against their cynical, post-Christian enemies in Britain. I devoured this book in 72 hours, and now I want to go back and read it again.
