In order to make keeping your D-Shaped moss pole moist EVEN easier, we've developed the slow-release watering cap!
This drop-in attachment will drip water to your moss at a rate that even the crustiest dry moss can easily absorb, preventing runout from watering too much and too fast. Keeping your moss pole moist is now just a matter of dumping a half cup (or more, it fits up to 500 ml) of water into the top of your pole every time you see the moss begin to change colour (lighten as it dries), and the slow drip will rehydrate from the top down, with the moisture spreading via capillary action.
It is essential to keep your soil from getting overwatered, something that can happen quite easily if you are constantly adding water to an over dry moss that cant absorb it quickly. The cap has a pin sized hole in the bottom that will drip at a slow and regular rate, perfect for even a single section moss pole.
If you have an extremely long moss pole and want to speed up water consumption, you can add more holes with the special hole-making tool that is included with your cap. Keep the water dripping freely by cleaning out the pin holes, again the tool, to prevent clogs from minerals in the water.
You can customise the message on your cap! Get a name, a special date, a simple shape, or some other message placed on the side of your watering cap, in clear view when you go in to add water. Do also tell us what colour you would like your cap to be printed in, if not we will pair it to the moss pole you have purchased!
