Onion goggles are designed for cooks. They're basically a cheap knockoff of a new-discontinued 7Eye Airshield frame style, but with  with simple clear lenses. 

This was one of the earliest really popular types of low-cost moisture chamber glasses, because they have such a nice deep foam seal without looking completely ridiculous. (Although, to be fair, everyone has a different definition of ridiculous. Some people think these are cute, others wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.)

What they're good at

Onion goggles have a deep seal, clear lenses, and a reasonably versatile size. That makes them a GREAT way to "test the concept" - to figure out whether dry eye glasses will be helpful to you, and if so, how much.

Once you know, then you can consider whether for your lifestyle needs, it might be worth investing in some more 'aesthetically pleasing types or ones with tinted or prescription lenses.

Note that there are a lot of things on Amazon calling themselves Onion Goggles, so we added "RSVP" so you'll know which type this is.

Limitations

• Not Rxable. (Well, if you have a very low script, are determined, and have an especially accommodating optician, I'm told it's possible, but I don't recommend it.)
• Can't be worn over glasses. If you want a way to test the concept with your glasses, try safety goggles or motorcycle goggles like Evaders.
• Stiff. They are a decent 'one size fits all' but.. if they're too small, they'll be uncomfortable.
• Available only with clear lenses.
