BOTANICAL SAMPLE - NOT GERMINATION TESTED

Life cycle: Perennial

Also called "prairie pricklypear" or "big-root pricklypear", this western native species can be found growing from Mexico to Minnesota and from the Rocky Mountains and California to the Mississippi and Ohio River valleys. It's one of the most cold hardy species of cactus pear, likely in part due to its short stature (plants rarely exceed one foot in height). It has a clump-forming, semi-prostrate form. Plains prickly pears produce red-purple fruit that are slender, juicy, and tasty. The fruit follow its spectacular yellow and red-orange flowers which are very attractive to a wide range of pollinators. Like other prickly pears, pads broken off from the plant can survive for a long time and will readily root once they come into contact with soil. This species has a large underground root, helping it to store water and making it very drought tolerant. Like other cold-hardy species, the pads drain themselves of moisture in the winter in order to be able to withstand deep-freezing and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Our seed comes from wild plants harvested by our friend and longtime grower Andy Hahn in Colorado.

GROWING TIPS: Seeds need no pre-treatment, but may benefit from some scarification (such as rubbing with sandpaper). Surface sow seeds and keep well watered until tiny sprouts appear.

I love Adidas visors great fit!
Size: One Size, Color: Ray Blue/White/3
Every time I buy an Adidas visor I am in love. They fit pefectly on my smaller type head but they adjust to I assume a large woman. I love the feel, the light weight, the brim is perfect length and the size just works for me. I use them for golf. This color is not quite cobalt and not quite royal. More of a cerulean blue. Very pretty and it goes great with my golf attire. I am embarrassed to say I own 10 Adidas visors.. Wish they made yellow.

Nice visor
Size: One Size, Color: Grey Six/Rose Gold/3
I bought it for trail running in the woods - keeps the glare off my glasses so I can see obstacles. It gets soaked really fast making it heavy but it's really week made and I love the colors.

Big fan of this visor!
Size: One Size, Color: Black/Silver Reflective/3
Ok. This visor is so breezy. The band is comfortable and perfect for the Houston heat! I love the rubber on the end of the adjuster. This means it won’t fray. It’s lightweight material, sizing is perfect, and fit is comfortable. Great value for the money!

Extremely comfortable. Adjustable band. Brim is just wide enough to sufficiently shade eyes.
