  • Dracaena Marginata, or Dragon Tree, is a member of the Dracaena family which includes about 120 plant species. Native to Madagascar, Dracaena Marginata has bare trunks and clusters of thin, long leaves. The leaves are dark green with red edges.

Dracaena Marginata is a very popular houseplant because it is easy to care for and can adapt to different indoor lighting conditions. This plant can grow up in height up to 20 feet outdoors and 8 feet indoors.

Dracaena Marginata is also on the list of NASA's air-purifying plants. It is very effective in cleaning the indoor air, making this plant an ideal houseplant for any living space.

Small size Dracaena Marginata is planted in a 4-inch grow pot.

  • Dracaena Marginata prefer medium bright, indirect sunlight but it also tolerate low-light conditions. Deep shade, however, can slow down its growth. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent sunburn.

This plant is drought-tolerant and does not need frequent watering. Only water when the soil is dry to the touch. Check the leaves often. Yellow leaves means that the plant is under-watered while brown leaves indicates that you have been over-watering your Marginata. Only use distilled water or another non-fluoridated water.

The best soil for this plant is well-drained, loamy potting soil. You can mix potting soil with perlite and loam.

This plant thrives in temperatures of 60°F-80°F. It is vital to ensure the room temperature does not fall below 60°F. Marginata thrives in normal room humididy but it is recommended to mist this plant frequently.

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

Marginata is toxic to cats and dogs, so keep this plant away from your pets.

Abbie Gives It Four-Paws Up !
My Flatcoat Retriever has been collecting stuffed animal friends for almost eleven years now. She never destroys them---tends to cuddle or wrestle with them. She likes to give them a good shake. She never disembowels them. This has turned out to be one of her favorites, if not THE favorite. Not only is it much more lifelike-looking than most stuffed animals, it is life-sized. Best of all, while the paws have squeakers, if the chest cavity is compressed, it emits a low guttural sound, making it again, the most lifelike stuffed animal I have come across. It sounds like a pig feeding...like grunting, which is cool and creepy all at once. Very sturdy. Lots of fun. You can spend less, but not for an animal that is going to get this much attention. Great toy.

Teh awesome rabbit
Don't let this bunny fool you. It's almost too cute and fluffy, but has surprising staying power. Over the past month it has been thoroughly shaken, tossed, slobbered, pounced on, and dragged wherever, by a German Shepherd pup who has proved to be the jaws of death for many stuffed squeak toys that sport better pedigrees. The only reason I've given it four stars instead of five, is that I have had to sew its seams a number of times, like almost every night at first (sort of understandable I guess), and only two and a half of its many original squeakers still work. The fact that it still actually looks like a rabbit and those squeakers still work (and none were ever torn out) is actually a testament, when I come to think of it. Huh. Anyway, at this point it looks disreputable and bedraggled as h**, and it has lost its tail, somewhere along the way. But it is still the pup's favorite toy and best friend (she coo's to it in her throat)--bar none. And when it comes time for it to go, I'll be buying another one.

Dog loves the bunny
This is a real rabbit-sized toy, and my dog loves it. One of the squeakers makes an animal grunting sound, which again, my dog loves (and I find a little unnerving). These are not built to last, though for my aggressive chewer, they hold up surprisingly well. It usually takes her about two weeks to thoroughly dismember and disembowel one. Of course, if I get involved in a spirited tug-of-war with my dog and the bunny, the rabbit doesn't last very long, but the bunny survives surprisingly well for our normal playing (I toss it up in the air, she catches it and takes it to her blanket to chew on it for a bit). I don't know of ANY plush toys that will last more than a couple of weeks at best, even the Kong Knots (which she also likes). Most, however, seem to disintegrate within minutes under her attention, so I love finding plush toys that my pup can play with for a while!

My dog absolutely loves it, but durability is poor.
This is my dog's second Pet Lou bunny. The first one I picked up in some random store. I tied it onto the end of my home-made flirt pole (look it up). She absolutely loves this toy. Her favorite has to be the squeakers in each paw. She likes the grunter in the body fine, and doesn't seem to care for the crinkly ears. Since it was on a flirt pole and I do not let her play with it solo, it lasted a long time. After finally killing the last paw squeaker I thought I'd buy a replacement with the expectation that the new one would be as durable as the old. The very first time we played with the new bunny, it came away with 1 broken paw squeaker and a tear in an armpit. The squeakers I can understand because she is a major chewer, but the tear after 1 use leads me to believe these toys are not as durable or the quality control at the factory is poor.
