Epipremnum Pinnatum Variegated is a rare and eye-catching vining plant that evolves dramatically as it matures. Known for its ever-changing leaf shapes and creamy white variegation, it makes a standout addition to any plant collection. Unlike Monstera Albo, this plant’s variegation is stable and consistent — no guessing games here.

As the plant grows, the leaves transition from heart-shaped to deeply lobed with fenestrations, resembling a Monstera but with a finer texture. It’s the kind of plant that always has something new to show you.

Our Epipremnum Pinnatum Variegated arrives in a W15cm nursery pot and stands approximately H40cm. It’s a fast grower that works beautifully as a trailing shelf plant, in a hanging basket, or climbing up a moss pole.

Native habitat and growth pattern
This plant is native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, where it climbs trees in search of dappled light. Its juvenile leaves are smooth and heart-shaped, but as it matures in brighter light, the leaves become palm-like with dramatic fenestrations.

Styling tips

  • Hang in a macramé holder where vines can drape freely

  • Train it up a moss pole for a taller, more mature look

  • Use in minimalist rooms to add sculptural texture and greenery

  • Perfect for shelves, corners, or trailing down furniture

Epipremnum Pinnatum Variegated care guide

Light requirements:
Tolerates low light but prefers bright, indirect sunlight to encourage fenestration and strong growth.

Watering:
Allow the top two inches of soil to dry before watering. Water thoroughly, then allow excess to drain — it dislikes soggy roots.

Feeding:
Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer). We recommend our Original Vegan Plant Food, a gentle organic fertiliser made from natural seaweed — perfect for rare tropicals.

Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity but adapts well to average indoor conditions.

Pet safety:
This plant is toxic to pets if ingested. Best kept out of reach of curious cats and dogs.

Propagation:
Easy to propagate from stem cuttings. Simply trim a healthy vine, place it in water or moist soil, and wait for roots to develop.

Why choose this plant?

  • Rare and hard to find in the UK

  • Fascinating leaf transformations as it matures

  • Stable variegation (unlike Monstera Albo)

  • Fast-growing and beginner-friendly

  • Perfect for climbing, hanging, or trailing

FAQs

Does the variegation fade over time?
No — this variety has stable variegation that remains consistent, even in lower light.

How big will it get indoors?
With support or space to trail, it can reach several metres in length.

Can I keep it in low light?
Yes, it will tolerate shade, though brighter conditions encourage faster growth and more dramatic leaves.

Is it safe for pets?
No — like many aroids, it is toxic if ingested. Best kept out of reach of animals.

From Puppy Teething to Adult Favorite – 7 Years Later
Color: Teething Stick, Color: Teething Stick
This has been one of the best toys I’ve ever bought! My dog has loved the Pupstages Cool Teething Stick since she was a tiny puppy, and now at 7 years old, it’s still one of her absolute favorites. It’s been amazing for soothing teething when she was little, and now she still enjoys chewing on it and carrying it around. It’s held up surprisingly well over the years, especially considering how much use it’s gotten. I also love that you can cool it for extra relief—it really helped during those puppy stages. If you’re looking for a toy that lasts and actually becomes a long-term favorite, this is definitely it. Highly recommend for both puppies and even older dogs who still love a good chew! 🐶

My puppy loves it
Color: Teething Stick
It's cute and a good size for my chihuahua puppy. It seems to be slightly tearing at the seam in the middle, but hopefully it will hold up.

LOVE this tough toy! My teething puppy is still enjoying it!
Color: Hedgehog
LOVE the hedgehog! Very tough! My dachshund has not been able to chew off any of the 'nubs', and does she try! lol The only thing is, the first thing she did was chew off the nose, but I discarded it and watched her closely to make sure she didn't chew off any more, and no, its still being chewed on. Wish I could find more toys like this one!!
