Known for its rapid vertical growth and large, spectacular, nocturnal white flowers, it is used both as a dramatic landscape specimen in frost-free areas and a popular container plant. It is also known for its traditional uses.

  • A fast-growing, multi-ribbed columnar cactus that can branch from the base.

  • Stems are blue-green with 6-8 rounded ribs and small, light-colored spines.

  • Produces large, fragrant, white, nocturnal flowers near the top of the stems in summer.
