Aloe chabaudii 'Orange Burst', commonly known as Orange Burst Dwala Aloe, is a native to Rhodesia. It forms clusters of rosettes with bluish-green leaves that can turn pink in full sun. In mid-winter, it produces pyramid-shaped panicles bearing pale orange tubular flowers, adding vibrant color to the landscape. This clustering aloe can reach up to 2 feet tall, with rosettes of broad leaves, up to 4 inches wide at the base. Flowering stems emerge in mid-winter, rising above the foliage in pyramid-shaped panicles with up to 15 ascending racemes, each crowned with pale orange tubular flowers. Native to Rhodesia, it grows on the lower slopes of hills and rocky granite outcrops across northeastern South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, and Malawi. Named after John A. Chabaud, an amateur gardener, it thrives in full sun to part shade, preferring occasional to regular irrigation in summer and relying on winter rainfall for moisture. Hardy in USDA zones 9 to 11, it withstands temperatures from 25°F to 30°F. Orange Burst Dwala Aloe is ideal for adding texture and color to gardens, whether planted individually in containers or massed in succulent gardens, attracting pollinators and enhancing biodiversity.
This plant has been grown in a 1ga pot. You will receive a very similar plant to the one in the picture. The plant is shipped "dry-root" (without soil).
