As the plant matures, its foliage becomes larger and more deeply fenestrated, creating the bold architectural look that has made it a houseplant favourite for decades.

In its natural habitat, Monstera deliciosa climbs through the rainforest using aerial roots. Indoors, it can be trained up a moss pole or support to encourage larger leaves and more vigorous growth.

Position in bright, indirect light for best results, although it will tolerate moderate shade. Water thoroughly, allowing the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering again. Warm temperatures and occasional misting will help maintain healthy growth.
