This flamingo flower has quite the unique quality- its flowers are black! As they are forming, the petals are a deep red, then harden off to a true black. The bracts of flamingo flowers range from white to black to every shade of red and pink between. Their flowers are some of the longest lasting flowers out there! Their waxy spathes, the black "petal" will last for weeks at a time and they readily re-bloom if given proper light and fertilizer. They can easily bloom for half of the year or more! Anthurium andraeanum is a fantastic beginner plant that can tolerate a wide variety of growing conditions. For best results, place in an area where it will receive moderate to bright light and water when the soil is 50-75% dry.

Anthurium, like other members of the Aroid family, have insoluble calcium oxalates, which can cause mouth and GI irritation and upset, meaning they are not pet safe when it comes to our furry friends. On the reptile and amphibian front, they make amazing additions to tropical enclosures. Their sturdy leaves and flowers easily hold mature frogs and geckos. The red flowers add a pop of color to the enclosure.

Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for a 4 inch pot. Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected.

Dragons
Format: Paperback
I can only say WOWS again—Casey Grimes wasn’t in this but others from the previous book where. Can’t wait to read the next book—will there be dragons in it—the previous books keep mentioning dragons and this book was excellent—I am going to hate when I run out of this series

Kansas City Dragon Business
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
This novel reveals a little-known part of Kansas City’s past—in the 1930s it was running a brisk dragon hatching, renting and sales business! Fast forward 80 or 90 years after the operation was shut down by the city—and be amazed! A suburban family with four boys moves into a 100-year old house in Crossroads of KC and into the adventure of their lives. Add a talking lizard and a trash-talking wizard out of the past, and you have a tale funny, terrifying, and thought-provoking all at once. I hope to see this in every bookstore window in Kansas City!
