This remarkable hybrid was created by Rory Antolok, using Anthurium Portillae Dorito as the mother plant and Anthurium Besseae aff as the pollen donor. Both parent plants are known for their bold form and deep colour, and this cross brings out the best of both — combining the distinctive Dorito leaf shape with the dark tones and texture of Besseae aff.

This particular plant was hand-selected by Rory from the entire batch for its potential to develop extremely dark foliage while maintaining that characteristic Portillae Dorito shape. There are minor cosmetic marks from the import on some leaves, but the plant has since acclimated fully and is healthy, stable, and ready for its new home.
