Brighamia insignis, commonly referred to as the Hawaiian Palm, Cabbage on a Stick, Alula, among many others. This unique species is a true collector’s plant!  This batch is well established in 4” pots, and already have developed a beautiful swollen trunk!

Compact and slow growing, perfect for containers or small spaces, it typically stays under 3' wide. Semi succulent, bright lime to dark green foliage between 5-8" long are only produced at the top of the plant forming a rosette, remove lower leaves as they turn yellow to brown for a clean and tidy appearance. Its swollen, water storing trunk allows it to tolerate brief dry periods, but it thrives best in bright, partial sun with excellent drainage. Under ideal conditions, produces clusters of showy, fragrant yellow flowers with a sweet scent of honeysuckle and citrus. While it naturally blooms in fall, cultivated plants may flower multiple times a year. Can be watered frequently if using a well aerated potting mix that allows for instant drainage. Be sure to water at the soil line, this plant is highly sensitive to water on its succulent trunk/ or water early and let it dry in morning sun. Overwatering can easily rot and kill the plant or cause fungal infection.  If grown in the ground, be sure to provide very sharp drainage, place in part sun and protect from slugs and snails - they will devour all the foliage, then move on to the top of the plant and kill it.

so far so good
I was surprised at this pair of pillow cases only because the material seemed impossible to be cooling - it's that weird polyester blend. So far I have not awoken feeling sweaty around my face and scalp. I don't recall what I originally paid but I think it is great value for money! If you are sensitive to out of the box smell, I washed mine first and it didn't impede on the efficacy of the cooling!

One moment they’re hot and the next you flip them and you’re blasted with a blast of ice cool what it feels like to chew 5 gum feeling capeesh. I would reccomend these pillow cases to even my grandma. If ya wanta get a rest so good that it feels like ya been sleeping with the fishes get these pillow cases, they’re the real deal. Then stop at Pauline’s joint and grab a slice of pizza say Vinnie sent ya. Anyways I gotta go my wife’s cooking up a mean lasgna and we’re gonna watch the dodgers. Soft "cooling" case.
Yes it is very cool when you lay on it. It doesn't stay cold though. Within a minute or 2 to whatever your temp is.

Great for hair and skin. Great buy.
These pillow cases are great for my hair and skin. They look good, hold up well in the washer and dryer, and the price is great. They are cooling. Of course I wish they could be more cooling, but honestly I'm not sure that's even possible. Great pillow cases. Already bought more for other heads. Would buy again.

Hot hot hot. Side sleepers will hate it
At first touch, these are the coldest pillowcases I own … but only for seconds. Once you actually lay on them, within seconds they adjust to your body temp, the heat feels trapped, my head begins to feel hotter than before I laid down - which has in turn caused me loathe these pillow cases. I hate that I have missed the return window. Would never buy again, would never recommend. My satin ones aren’t even this hot! I gave them the good ole 30-day try. Side sleepers - if you are like me and sleep on your side with arm tucked under pillow - flipping this pillow over in hopes of a cold side - forget it, it’s already hot from your arm.
