Greenwash Terracotta Studio Planter

Designed by Bloomist and hand-formed by artisans in Honduras from locally sourced terra cotta clay, this terracotta studio planter takes the proportions of the classic British Long Tom pot and gives them a cleaner, more modern profile.

The tall, tapered form gives deep-rooted plants the depth they need to establish properly. A soft greenwash finish develops in varied tones of sage and moss across each piece, with areas of exposed clay that bring an earthy elegance to any room, patio, or garden. The Bloomist mark is stamped into one side.

What Size Planter Do I Need?

The size you choose depends on the plant and where it will live. Smaller sizes, Small through Medium, suit herbs, succulents, and compact foliage on a shelf or tabletop. Large through X-Large accommodate mid-size indoor plants like pothos or peace lilies. XX-Large and XXX-Large are built for statement plants — fiddle-leaf figs, monsteras, and large ferns that anchor a floor or corner.

From Tabletop to Floor

It works indoors and out, and in colder climates, the clay should be brought inside through winter to protect it from frost. A drainage hole at the base allows excess water to pass through, keeping roots healthy and preventing waterlogging.

The matching greenwash tray catches runoff to protect your surface, and our Wrought Iron Plant Stands lift the planter to a height that works as well on a floor as it does in a corner or beside a window. Also available in a Whitewash.

Choosing this terracotta planter supports traditional artisanship and community-based craftsmanship in Sabanagrande, Honduras.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Wonderful classic
Format: Board book
This book challenges the assumption that more is better, bringing back memories of my own easy-going childhood. Ezra Keats is remarkable in his ability to create a story that so many people can relate too and the books illustrations also manage to pull you back into your own childhood memories and moments of wonder at snow. His artwork is spare yet the pictures burst with brilliant color and expression. In many of the pictures, Peter lacks facial features except his eyes, but Keats manages, with the angle of his head and the composition, to convey feeling. The text, similarly economical, is made up of just enough words to tell the story -- none of them too hard for a young reader to sound out or for a young listener to understand -- and they are vivid words used powerfully, often rhyming or repeating. The result is that kids (and parents too!) can settle into Peter's snowy world. A bonus in this sparkling story is the African-American main character -- an all-too-rare occurrence, still, in children's literature. I try to expose my child to a diverse array of characters in his story books and am still left disheartened when I return from the book store because, unfortunately there really are too few choices that are quality stories that both the adult and child can enjoy reading. This is one of those books. The story is engaging and still simple enough that a child can follow along.
