The Ginkgo, or maidenhair tree, is a living fossil that's flourished around the world since the Jurassic Period - over 200 million years ago.

The Ginkgo Biloba is the hottest trend in both health foods and bonsai. It's regarded in eastern cultures as the "Fountain of Youth" plant for the belief that it boosts brain circulation and memory when taken as an herb.

This tree is easily distinguished by the characteristic two-lobed, fan-shaped leaves which turn a deep yellow in autumn.

Its fruits are arranged in clusters, and are golden yellow when ripe.

This is a deciduous bonsai tree, and needs to be kept outdoors.
