Misses XS-3XL

Fashions towards the end of the 1930s combined the frugality of the lean Depression years with touches of Hollywood extravagance. Our sewing pattern is for a practical dress that uses fabric economically, yet still looks chic and trendy.

In the late 1930s, the glamorous and glittering distractions of Hollywood were a distraction from an often grim realities of everyday life.  As Americans began to pull out of the Great Depression, they watched and mimicked the fun and fancy ways of the wealthy the best they could.  World War II was yet to come and US citizens reveled in an upbeat, although naive, mood.

View A, drafted from an original dress (circa 1939) features round neck with collar points and peplum cleverly cut on the straight grain but with the slimming look of a bias cut. It has a back zipper, dropped waistline, and short sleeves. The unpressed tucks in the front eliminate the need for bust darts and create a fashionable broad shouldered look of the period.

View B is our designer's variation of the original design. It has a more casual look, with buttoned front bodice, flounce collar and sleeves, back zipper and eyelash pockets with flounce pocket bands.

Both dresses have a slightly flared skirt that is very flattering.

This pattern is available as a Paper pattern and PDF pattern.  Choose the pattern format you want in the drop down menu.  The PDF pattern has instructions and files for copy shop (36” and A0), print at home (A4 and 8.5”x11”) and projector file.

Suggested fabrics: Rayon, medium-weight silk, microfiber, or other fabrics with drape. View B is particularly attractive in small-print fabrics with sheer flounces.

Our first babies favorite and longest lasting ball yet and he is fixing to be 7.
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 2), Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 2)
Toughest ball we have found yet. Our doberman loves Chuckit! Balls especially the crunch one. He spreads all the balls and toys we have bought but these lasted the longest. The crunch and the glow in the dark are usually his pick but he has several different choices.

Great treat replacing for motivated dogs!!!
Color: Yellow
i use this ball strictly for training purposes with my Aussie who is super obsessed with balls. My dog seriously loves this ball. This has taken the place of treats. When we aren’t training the ball goes in a closet. So far it’s durable enough for our training session. (If we have a good session he is rewarded with having free access to the ball for a limited time, he enjoys a little tug so I normally hold the rope and let him have at the ball) for $10 id say it’s worth it. It’s definitely not indestructible but it is cheaper for me to replace these than buying treats every week as rewards.

Fun toy
Color: Orange
Well made. The puppies love it, BUT it is too hard for them at an early age ( 2 1/2 months. They ended up grabbing the rope. As they got 5-6 months they were fine. Make another model 1 inch smaller and half as hard Belgian Malinois & Doberman.

Durable & great deal
Color: Orange and Yellow
My foster German Shepherd has a jaw that's locked and loaded but love these cause I can play tug of war or fling it way across the yard. He's chewed or busted every ball he's received except these. I'm loving them. Very durable, bounces too really well and I can find it easily with the colors.

Small balls and came apart
Color: Orange and Yellow
My dog loves them; these are my first set of this type of toy. Good quality materials, but the knot in the rope came undone and the ball came off in 3days. I had someone fix and re-tie and it has held up so far. The next set I’ll get in a larger size, they’re a tad small for my dog’s mouth.
