This is a stunning turn-of-the-century raw silk wrapper dress. The dress has wonderful dark gothic and romantic vibes. It has a high lace collar with lace ruffles running along and around the side. The bodice is densely gathered at the center and the dress’s silhouette is full and loose overall as wrapper dresses are a more casual garment and were worn in the home. It has a silk satin waist belt that pulls the dress flush in the back and gathers down the dress in the front and cinched in the waist. The sleeves on this dress are so wonderful they are slightly fitted at the shoulders and have lovely smocking there that helps give the wonderful volume to the puff at the wrist. The cuffs are long and fitted so they make the puff at mid-forearm stand out even more. The silver is in the raw silk and the cuffs are covered in lace. The skirt is full and simple with two lace appliques that run down from the shoulders on each side all the way down to the flouncy ruffle at the hem of the skirt. In the back, there is some slight shaping in the skirt with a row of smocking at the small of the back that gives the skirt lots of volume there and might have also been worn with a slight bum pad. The dress is partially lined with a fitted under-bodice. The underbodice is made of glazed cotton and fastens with dark shell buttons up the front. The rest of the dress is unlined. The dress also fastens up the front but with hooks and eyes to the neckline.Condition:
The dress is in fantastic condition overall with only one wonderfully done repair at the right sleeves. It is super hard to notice and does not affect the wearability of the dress. The other thing is that the silk satin ribbons at the waist do have some damage. They have a few small holes and are a bit more fragile. If you wanted to wear it for more than just photos I would recommend replacing them. The gown has the best witchy vibes and is ready to wear.

Feels like a real upgrade, but maybe priced a little high

This is one of those things you don’t think much about until you switch to a better one. Right away you notice the weight. It actually stays put when you pull a sheet instead of sliding all over the counter or tipping up, which already makes it better than most cheap holders.
The spring arm does help keep the roll under control so you’re not pulling half the roll by accident. One handed use works most of the time, but it depends on the paper towels. Thinner rolls tear clean without any effort. Thicker ones can still need a second hand here and there, so it’s not perfect but still better than a basic stand.
Build quality feels solid. The finish looks clean and not cheap, and it wipes down easily. It definitely looks like something you’d keep out on the counter instead of hiding.
Only real downside is the price. It does what it’s supposed to do and does it well, but it’s still a paper towel holder at the end of the day. You’re paying for the weight and design more than anything.
If you’re tired of flimsy ones, this is a noticeable step up. Just depends if you care enough to spend extra on something this simple.

Sleek Kitchen Essential One Handed Paper Towel Dispenser

The Ultrean paper towel holder is a countertop accessory designed for convenience featuring a sturdy stainless steel construction that wipes clean easily and blends into any kitchen or bathroom decor. It stands upright on a weighted non slip base that provides stability during use and it is equipped with a spring loaded arm intended to assist with one handed tearing. The assembly is very straightforward making it quick to set up right out of the box so you can start using it immediately for your daily cleaning tasks.
I found this holder very easy to put together and integrate into my space and it definitely adds a nice modern touch to my kitchen counters. While it is marketed as a one handed tear dispenser I have noticed that it depends on the type of paper towels you are using. If I am using thinner cheaper rolls the tear is effortless but with my preferred thick Bounty paper towels the tension is not always enough to tear them off cleanly with just one hand so I usually end up holding it down to get a clean rip.
The major pros of this dispenser are the weighted non slip base that keeps it from sliding around and the stainless steel finish that makes maintenance simple with just a quick wipe. The main con is that it struggles with heavy duty paper towels often requiring two hands to tear without tipping or pulling the whole roll which might be frustrating if you are expecting a true one handed experience every single time. Still it is a functional and attractive piece that keeps my kitchen organized and as long as you do not mind using both hands for the thicker brands it is a solid addition to any home.
