THE EBS BASSIQ ‘BLUE LABEL’ ENVELOPE FILTER FEATURE ENHANCED VERSATILITY AND RESPONSIVENESS. THIS IS A FUN, INSPIRING, AND MUSICAL ANALOG ENVELOPE FILTER.
The EBS BassIQ produces sounds ranging from classic auto-wah effects to spaced-out ”Funkadelic” and synth-bass sounds. It is for everyone looking for a fun, fat-sounding, and responsive envelope filter that reacts to how you play in a musical way.
Q, Threshold & Attack-controls
The Threshold and Attack control knobs set the sensitivity of how the pedal responds to your playing. The sensitivity is the key to create a great variety of sounds from synth-bass, to wah-effects or sub-bass. A separate control changes the Q value to create even more variation in the sound character. The higher the Q value, the sharper the effect. All sounds are depending on how you set the Q value in conjunction with Threshold and Attack.
Up, Up-R & Down-modes
In the Up mode, the pedal responds with a wah effect. Turn the Q knob all the way up to get distinct ‘quacky’ wah sounds (like the HiQ mode of the old BassIQ). Turn the Q knob back for a more mellow effect. To get a sub-bass sound, use the UP mode and turn Threshold all the way down and Attack all the way up. In the Down mode, you will achieve various types of synth bass sounds. The UP-R mode works like UP but also interacts with an internal control that changes the range of the envelope effect.
Pass filters
The three different types of pass filters, Full Range, Band Pass, and Low Pass, offer three variations of your sound at any time. Find a sound setting you like, and then try the different pass filter options, and each of them will change the character of the sound.
Internal controls
Trim pots are found inside to set the Gain output level of the pedal, a High Pass mix-in trim pot sets the level of high frequencies from the bypassed tone to mix in with the effect. A third trim pot decides the Range of the envelope effect in the pedals UP-R mode setting. Use these options carefully to tailor the pedal's response to match your personal needs perfectly. The EBS Bass IQ Blue Label replaces the previous Bass IQ model from now on. The new pedal also has a 12% reduced footprint.

Got it for my college class, it was a required text.
Format: Paperback
Got this book for one my college class, no joke this was a required text. But overall it was an okay read, only reason why I gave it a 4 out 5 is because I prefer to read books for enjoyment and interest, reading a book for class takes that away.

Superman, a Dark Knight in the Skies
Format: Paperback
This is a beautiful tome of the first issues of Superman under Action Comics and the first Superman issue. Although providing the same texts of Chronicles, I find this series better because they have more issues per volume. In spite of its 390 pages, these volumes are light and easy to handle. Albeit the simplicity and innocence of these stories, Superman impresses me as a "dark knight" of the skies given his toughness with the bad guys. In these stories, he's got no compassion for criminals. He also defends the working class, stand for fair treatment of workers, and even takes an "isolationist" stance which was popular in the days before WWII. Another surprise for the first-time reader of this period is that Superman can't fly; he can only leap over tall buildings. There is no Krypton and no Daily Planet. The city of Metropolis is introduced for the first time in the second half of this tome. And Lois Lane is often relegated to unimportant journalistic tasks, while she has greater ambitions. It is a great experience to read these old stories in a beautifully designed tome. I hope they reproduce the others quickly.

This is Superman like you DON'T remember him!
Format: Kindle
I've been a fan for as long as I've been able to tie a bath towel around my neck, so diving into these early comics has been a real joy! The character was quite different in the beginning so if you're not familiar with Golden Age Superman this might be quite the eye opener. Here in these early comics, Supes certainly isn't the Big Blue Boy Scout you knew and loved in the Silver Age and beyond; early on, he's more like the Well-Meaning Big Blue Bully/Borderline Sociopath. Sort of like early Golden Age Batman: bad guys die, Superman (or Batman) kind of shrugs and thinks, "Well, they got what they deserved..." His relationship with Lois is a bit more desperate-seeming in a few places as well. In fact, he's almost a bit stalker-ish in his pursuit/attitude toward Miss Lane. You can thank DC editor Whitney Ellsworth and a few others for softening the rough edges and turning The Man of Steel into the virtuous character we have today.

This is my Superman
Format: Paperback
Before super villains came along, Superman fought corrupt businessmen and world leaders. In this volume, you get stories like Superman trapping a wealthy mine owner in his own mine so he can feel what it’s like for his exploited workers (as I type that, I thought of a great parallel that might get this review removed haha), forced warring leaders to settle their differences in person, and destroyed a ghetto to get the government to pay to give the poor people modern housing (today our government would just leave them homeless but I digress)
At some point in this volume, you get the first supervillain and it gradually goes away from this great Superman at that point but this Superman is my Superman, rough scripting/art and all
