Information

NORTENT Varde 1 is a highly durable and dependable solo tent, built for demanding adventures across rugged mountains and remote, windswept plains. It’s designed for those who seek not just shelter from the elements, but harmony with them. With its aerodynamic profile and multiple anchoring points, the Varde 1 stands firm in harsh conditions, being your reliable companion when nature shows its strength.

We believe the outdoors isn't something to battle, but something to embrace. Varde 1 empowers you to thrive in the elements, not merely endure them.

Crafted with clean, purposeful lines, the tent blends seamlessly into natural surroundings, minimizing its footprint both visually and physically. Setup is quick and intuitive without unnecessary complications. With just a little practice, you can have the tent pitched in 2–3 minutes, ready to crawl into the warmth and safety of your sleeping bag.

Every exposed area of the outer fabric is reinforced with perhaps the world’s strongest fiber. This ensures exceptional resilience where it matters most, because in the wild, there's no substitute for trust in your gear.

Solutions

The flysheet made of silnylon is of course waterproof. However, a dense tent presents a challenge, and that is air circulation. If the air is not circulated, you will experience condensation inside walls of the outer flysheet (not inside the inner tent). Ventilation is therefore absolutely essential to avoid this. Varde 1 is therefore equipped with 3 air valves. One air valves at the bottom, where fresh air can find its way in, and one above one the two entrances where moist air finds its way out.

The air valve at the top also function as an extra overhang and protection against rain when you leave the entrance open. In addition you may also adjust all entrances to your needs.

Varde 1 has a relatively spacious awning to be a one-man tent where there is plenty of space for a backpack, shoes and other equipment. At the same time, the awning is well adapted for cooking and use of cooking equipment

At the awning you will find a spacious inner tent with plenty of space for one person where the inner tent easily accommodates a 190x60 cm sleeping pad in addition to gear and clothes. For cold days you can seal the doors in the inner tent completely. For hot days you can open them, but still and at the same time, have mosquito net covering the entrances against insects. We have equipped the inner tent with several opportunities for storage. For organising all the small equipment you bring on your trip that too often and mysteriously seem to vanish.

In calm days you can open the whole side of the tent to get "nature" into the tent. On wet and harsh days, you can leave the entrance partially closed, but still be sheltered from the weather and wind. On a good old rainy day, you may like to close the entrance completely. But still, there is of course the possibility to make dinner and food in the awning. The Varde 1 offers a variety of options to let nature in while keeping wind and rain out. One particularly versatile feature is the ability to open the entire side of the tent. In this configuration, the sidewall transforms into an overhead canopy, providing shelter from above. This unique design allows you to cook, relax, or sit just outside the tent, fully connected to the outdoors, yet protected from the elements. On very still, humid days and nights when natural airflow inside the tent is reduced, we've added a feature that lets you raise the bottom of the back wall. This feature  boosts ground-level airflow,  improving ventilation when needed and ensuring greater comfort during periods of minimal air movement.

The thick and very strong fabric sewn into the seams in realtions to the clips attached to the poles plays a crucial role in efficiently distributing the external forces across a larger area along the seam. When for example strong winds act on the tent, the thick reinforcement,  serves as a robust support structure.

As the wind exerts force on the tent fabric, the thick reinforcement helps disperse this force over a broader surface. This distribution of force prevents concentrated stress points and minimizes the risk of tearing or damage to the tent material. Essentially, the reinforcement acts as a buffer, absorbing and diffusing the energy generated by external forces

The large area coverage of the thick fabric along the seam is particularly significant. By extending the reinforcement along the seam, where the fabric panels are joined together, the forces are effectively spread across the entire length of the seam. This not only enhances the overall strength of the tent but also ensures that no single point along the seam bears an excessive load.

In essence, the thick reinforcement sewn into the seam functions as a strategic component, working in tandem with the thinner nylon fabric to create a resilient and wind-resistant structure. By distributing the pull and energy from the wind over a wide area along the seam, the tent becomes better equipped to withstand varying weather conditions, providing durability and reliability in challenging environments.

The orientation of the guyline straps is very intentional and based on structural reinforcement. Both the upper and lower guylines are stitched in the same direction relative to the reinforcement seam. This ensures consistent load paths and prevents shear forces from acting against each other at the seam level. If oriented differently, the seam would be exposed to conflicting stresses, reducing reinforcement efficiency.

By tying the guylines to the pole, the axial stiffness of the pole becomes the primary load carrier. This minimizes localized strain on the flysheet fabric and distributes wind forces more efficiently into the tent’s frame.

Strap positioning also follows the tent’s geometry. For example, upper straps on vent panels are placed lower to follow the vent ear’s structure, while opposite sides differ in placement to balance force distribution.

Although the top strap appears angled away from the pole, this orientation is part of the systematic reinforcement strategy. It aligns the sewing direction of both guylines, optimizes load transfer into the pole, and ensures maximum overall stability and durability under wind load.

Oh,  yes! Varde 1 is designed for double poling, a feature made possible by ditching traditional tent sleeves. Imagine yourself in the thick of challenging weather – relentless winds threatening to disrupt your shelter or sudden weather changes. Double poling becomes your secret weapon, providing unmatched stability and adaptability.

With the freedom to double up on poles and the elimination of restrictive sleeves, you gain a significant advantage in creating an ultra-secure shelter. It's not just about setting up a tent; it's about confidently navigating the unpredictable elements. Whether you're contending with fierce winds or embracing a surprise snowfall, double poling offers a practical solution that takes your adventures to the next level in terms of adapting to the elements

Accessories

We offer an optional footprint for Varde 1. Using a footprint can extend the lifespan of the floor and shield it from potential damage, though it isn't essential for the tent's functionality. The thick and solid 70 D floor on the inner tent is both waterproof and puncture-proof. While the tent functions effectively without a footprint, some individuals prefer using one to keep mud away or to cover the vestibule floor. Footprints may play a role in preventing moisture from the ground from condensing on the inner surface of the outer tent. Our available footprints cover the entire underside of the tent, including the vestibules

NORTENT aluminum pegs are made of an aluminum alloy that promotes the proper properties of tent pegs. A tent peg should be strong, endure a lot of stress, but at the same time be somewhat flexible so that it bends instead of breaking straight by too much stress. Our stakes are therefore made of an aluminum alloy in the 7000 series. This is perhaps the market's strongest aluminum alloy, where our alloy has a degree of 7001 aluminum.. This is a degree of aluminum that promotes what we believe are important properties of a tent peg. Strong, but at the same time somewhat flexible. Our featherlite pegs are our lightest and snallest pegs at 8 g, where our stonghold pegs are biggest and heaviest at 24 g.

Super slim, lightweight, and easy to carry without adding bulk. The magnetic hold is strong, it stays cool while charging, and the charging speed is surprisingly fast for how compact it is. Thin, secure, with plenty of juice
Color: White, Color: White
When I purchased the iPhone Air, I bought into the hype that the battery life might not be sufficient for all day. Putting aside that in reality, my iPhone Air lasts just fine most days, I wanted a MagSafe power bank I could take with me when I was away from home. After reading about the Apple produced battery for $100, I opted for the Anker for about half the price. Pros: Very thin; strong magnets that attach to any MagSafe case: fits inside the edges of the Apple bumper case; packs more juice than the Apple version; works with any iPhone so I can share with my family. Cons: It is still heavy; you can't recharge the battery via MagSafe, only USB-C; color options didn't quite match the iPhone Air colors. I purchased the Sky Blue iPhone Air and the Anker 'Green' seemed off, so I opted for the white.

Good, but a little spendy and lower capacity for value
Color: Black
I have used this plenty at work anytime I forget to charge my Samsung S25 Ultra (which has a 5,000mah battery) or am using it intensely, often for work. The charge time is actually the new Qi 2, so it's not bad. It's not a fast charger, but it's super good enough to not bring a cable. It's slim enough to not care as well. I am a nerd and keep it in my cargo pocket which also helped save the day for some poor lady who needed to charge her iPhone, so I lent that to her for a short bit. It's super unubtrusive to keep on you so it's handy if or when you need it, or need to help. I like Anker as a brand, and lean to them for battery banks. I have several of their batteries, so I figured I will eat the premium to get the portability. I like the form a lot, and the magnetc retention is rock solid. Charge speed is fair, and heat isn't what I would call concerning if this isn't something you do with frquency. A 5,000mah battery will not go far in real world use. One full recharge, which is perfectly suitable. The price is what will hurt. You can get a conventional bank for the same with much more capacity. It won't be as slim and likely won't be wireless (or as fast). I rather like this battery but am hesitant to recommend it. It really is a case of do you want slim and portable or capacity and budget? It is a solid product, however you decide.

Best travel MagSafe Charger
Color: Black
I recently purchased the Anker Nano MagSafe Portable Charger, Ultra-Slim 5,000mAh, and it has quickly become one of my favorite everyday tech accessories. The compact design and reliable charging performance make it incredibly convenient for keeping my iPhone powered throughout the day, whether I’m commuting, traveling, or simply away from an outlet for extended periods. One of the first things I noticed was how slim and lightweight the charger feels. It attaches securely to the back of the phone with MagSafe, making it easy to use while still comfortably fitting in a pocket or small bag. Unlike bulkier power banks, this one maintains a sleek profile that doesn’t add unnecessary weight or thickness. Charging performance has been very reliable overall. The 5,000mAh capacity provides a helpful boost when my battery starts running low, and the magnetic connection stays firmly in place during use. I also appreciate that the charger delivers consistent power without overheating, even during longer charging sessions. The build quality is excellent, which is something I’ve come to expect from Anker products. The materials feel durable and premium, and the minimalist design looks clean and modern. It arrived well-packaged and immediately gave the impression of being a high-quality accessory. Another feature I appreciate is how simple and convenient it is to use. There’s no complicated setup involved—just snap it onto the back of the phone and charging begins automatically. It’s especially useful when traveling or during busy days when carrying cables around can be inconvenient. After using it regularly, I’ve been very satisfied with its reliability and portability. It keeps my phone charged when I need extra power most, and the ultra-slim design makes it easy to carry everywhere without noticing the extra bulk. Overall, the Anker Nano MagSafe Portable Charger, Ultra-Slim 5,000mAh is a dependable and thoughtfully designed portable charger. It offers reliable charging performance, excellent portability, and premium build quality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a compact and convenient MagSafe-compatible power bank for everyday use.

A really great portable charger
Color: Golden
Works great with my Samsung Galaxy S25 in a magnetic case. I love the small form factor, which means I can keep it on my phone to charge while I'm using the phone when I need to. It also means it's incredibly easy to take any time I leave the house, not just when I travel. It does get pretty warm, but I find that keeping the phone face down helps that a lot. And of course using the phone while it's charging makes it hotter. One note if You're like me and you've never used one of these: there's a small button on the side that activates or deactivates the magnet. I thought the magnet had died because it was no longer attaching to my phone. Then I randomly held the button down and it snapped right back on. It's a useful feature now that I know that it's there, so I don't leave the magnet on when it might be near swipeable cards in my bag. Funny they don't mention anything about that in all the product images, but now I know.
