Boston ferns (Nephrolepis exaltata 'Bostoniensis') are popular, air-purifying houseplants that feature lush, feathery fronds. They're perfect for adding a touch of greenery to any indoor space. Follow these care instructions to keep your Boston fern healthy and thriving:

  1. Light: Place your Boston fern in a location with bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves and cause them to turn yellow. A north or east-facing window is ideal for providing the right amount of light.

  2. Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water your Boston fern when the top 1 inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom of the pot, and then allow the excess water to drain completely. Be cautious not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot.

  3. Humidity: Boston ferns love high humidity levels. To increase humidity, you can place a tray filled with water and pebbles underneath the pot, mist the leaves daily, or use a humidifier. A humidity level of 50% or higher is ideal for these plants.

  4. Temperature: Maintain a temperature range of 65-75°F (18-24°C) for optimal growth. Boston ferns can tolerate a range of temperatures but avoid exposing them to temperatures below 55°F (13°C) or sudden temperature changes.

  5. Fertilizer: Feed your Boston fern with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Use a half-strength solution to avoid over-fertilizing. Reduce feeding to once every 2-3 months during fall and winter.

  6. Pruning: Prune your Boston fern as needed to maintain its shape and size. Remove any yellow or brown fronds and trim the tips if they become damaged. Regularly remove any dead or damaged fronds to encourage healthy growth.

  7. Repotting: Repot your Boston fern every 2-3 years or when the roots outgrow the pot. Choose a well-draining potting mix and a pot that is 1-2 inches larger in diameter than the current one. Be gentle when handling the roots, and water the plant thoroughly after repotting.

  8. Pest control: Keep an eye out for common pests such as spider mites, mealybugs, and scale insects. Treat any infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil, following the manufacturer's instructions.

Pet-friendly or toxic to pets?

According to the ASPCA, Boston ferns are considered non-toxic to both cats and dogs. While ingestion of any plant material can cause mild gastrointestinal upset in some pets, the Boston fern is generally safe to have around your furry friends. However, it's always a good idea to discourage pets from chewing on plants and to monitor them for any signs of distress after ingesting plant material.

Great deal on cabin and engine filter
Style: 2014-2022 Toyota Sequoia
Works great, I also like that the cabin filter is embedded with charcoal, all for about half the price if bought separately.

Does not fit!
Style: 2019-2025 Subaru Forester 2.5L
These do NOT fit the 2925 Subaru Forester as indicated in the listing. The product looks fine but Amazon missed the boat on the fitment.

Air filter and cabin filters, cabin filter is a little harder to swap out
Style: 2017-2019 Rogue 2.0L Hybrid
Just as described air filter under hood is super easy to change out, didn’t take more than 10 minutes. The interior cabin filter for 2018 Nissan Rogue SL is not in the glovebox like YouTube said. It’s below on side of counsel, passenger side. Might have to squeeze it to get in place. Watch a few YouTube videos for little tricks to make it a little bit easier. It took the longest to swap out. half hour or more.
