There are many ways to interpret what is no longer a new trend for the few, but a different way to experience cycling, a sport chosen by many. For some, it's a new way to test themselves, for others, an alternative choice and a new opportunity.
B-Road, or "gravel", is all this, Rapid Red 5 DB is the Fulcrum proposal designed and developed exactly for this.
During the development of Rapid Red 5 DB, Fulcrum's R&D department collected and exploited all the experience and wealth of technical solutions chosen for racing bike wheels, rethinking them for terrains other than "tarmac".
Dirt roads, paths and dirt roads require a wide channel, here it is 23 mm, with a low and ultra-resistant 24 mm rim , to cushion impacts and ensure excellent riding comfort, regardless of the stresses received.
The profile allows for the mounting of tubeless-ready tires between 30 and 46 mm , a wide set-up range that can be exploited depending on the route you will be tackling. The 24 spokes, all straight-pull and supported by a solid aluminum hub, create the ideal support for tackling rough terrain and the slightly higher weights of a bike ready for a trip.
