Dedicated flex zones in the seat tube, rear triangle, and top tube work as a system to generate vertical compliance on rough surfaces — structural decisions, not passive material choices. That compliance runs through the cockpit as well: the Cannondale C1 Aero 27 Carbon seatpost (D-shaped, SmartSense compatible) handles the final link between frame and saddle. The crankset runs a 48/31T chainring configuration, mated to a Shimano 105 R7100 12-speed cassette in an 11-36T spread.
