Philodendron billietiae is one of the most striking members of the genus. Its leaves are long, narrowly elongated, and deeply wavy along the margins, reaching impressive lengths as the plant matures. What makes it immediately recognisable are the petioles: a vivid orange-yellow that contrasts sharply with the deep green of the blade and adds a tropical boldness that few other Philodendrons can match. As a hemiepiphyte it climbs vigorously when given the chance, and a support will encourage larger leaves and a more structured plant. It is a strong grower once established, and its distinctive foliage makes it a standout piece in any collection.

Origins
Philodendron billietiae was first collected in 1981 by Frieda Billiet in French Guiana.

Philodendron billietiae needs a loose, well-draining substrate that allows roots to breathe between waterings. I'd give 4 1/2 if there was one. The shelves thwmself are nice I just don't like the visible little black set screws. The shelves themself look great and are not wobbly at all if you install correctly. I purposely installed the bracket upside down because of the little black setting screws; I didnt want them showing because the shelves are above eye level and the screws are black and I didn't want them showing. But that made the shelf lean amd wobbly so I turned them back over the way they are supposed to be and that made them level and sturdy. I guess I'll paint the little screws.
