  • Made to Move: This kayak seat lets you swivel to the left or right with ease, so you can cast with confidence and reel ‘em in with a greater range of motion
  • Durable Build: The aluminum frame of the Brooklyn Swivel Kayak Seat resists corrosion caused by water or sun and can support plenty of weight, too
  • Cruise In Comfort: The padded armrests, supportive mesh seat and backrest have you sitting pretty whether you’re casting, paddling, or taking a break on the waves
  • Easily Adjustable: The swivel seat’s backrest is quickly and easily adjusted to any angle you like for maximum ergonomic comfort
  • Ideally Compatible: The BKC Swivel Kayak Seat is uniquely designed for any of the Pro Series Pedal Kayaks or Pro Trolling Motor Kayaks.

The BKC Swivel Kayak Seat removes one of the biggest pain points of kayak fishing: all that twisting and turning you have to do as you cast and reel from a seat that doesn’t turn with you. With the Swivel Seat installed in your BKC pedal kayak, you can easily cast and reel in your catch by simply pivoting left or right as needed.

The Kayak Swivel Seat is not just great for fishing. It allows more flexibility and range for the photographer to frame the best shots, it lets you kick back and soak your feet in the water when it’s time for some R&R, it allows you the option to face your tandem kayak partner, and the swivel seat makes getting in and out of your kayak easier.

This kayak swivel seat can replace the fixed seat on most BKC pedal kayak hulls. It is made from a sturdy, corrosion-resistant aluminum frame and has a durable, weather-resistant and breathable mesh backrest and seat. Padded arm rests add to the comfort, as does the adjustable angle of the seatback. And of course, the seat can also be locked in place when you don’t want to swivel, such as when you’re pedaling away at full speed enroute to the next fishing spot.

Find Out Who Was the Legal Secretary
Format: Hardcover
I ordered this book after watching Nuremberg with Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe because I wanted to find out who was the woman accompanying Justice Jackson to Germany. Yes, that was not his wife, it was his legal secretary, Elsie Douglas. This book is the only source I could find that goes into any detail about their relationship. What it provides is nowhere near salacious, because it is evident that Jackson took his secrets to the grave. What details it does provide about the evident love triangle that existed in Jackson's life for many years is quite sufficient to explain the events of Nuremberg.

Well written. Factual sloppiness.
Format: Hardcover
Good insight into Jackson’s approach to the law. Thoroughly researched. Well written. However, Professor White made two egregious factual errors, both of which are an indication of sloppiness on his part, as well as that of his editors and peer reviewers. First, he refers to the World War 2 Chief of Naval Operations as the Secretary of the Navy. Second he states that Los Alamos National Laboratory is in California.

Judging Jackson
Format: Hardcover
Readers interested in FDR's era, the post-war Nuremberg Trial, and/or such important U.S. Supreme Court events as the Rosenberg spy case and Brown v. Board of Education will enjoy this well-researched book. Illuminating insights as to the characters of his fellow members of the High Court, especially Justices Black and Douglas, are also present. Of special interest in today's world is Justice Jackson's thinking on the limits of Executive Power in terms of war powers and foreign relations. I do think non-lawyers will be less interested when the author, a legal scholar, sometime goes into depth exploring aspects of Justice Jackson's thoughts on opaque technical areas, such as diversity jurisdiction under the constitution. And, I fail to see the need to spend much time on Justice Black's two children, as is done in chapter two "Family Matters." Why do I need to know that his daughter was a mediocre student in college or details about her early love life? Professor White clearly admires Robert H. Jackson as a fine advocate, brilliant writer, and independent judge, while noting some of his flaws. All in all, a good biography of an important American.

This is a good book to remind us of the futility of war and the tragedies that occur because of it.
