At the heart of the Addict RC 20 lies the Addict RC HMX Carbon frame and fork, showcasing SCOTT's expertise in carbon technology. Drawing inspiration from mountain bike manufacturing approaches, SCOTT flipped traditional road bike construction on its head. The innovative PP Mandrel manufacturing process enables high-precision molding of inner surfaces and transition zones, resulting in strength-optimized tube shapes that eliminate unnecessary filler material and additional reinforcements. This delivers best-in-class tube profiles that significantly reduce frame weight without compromising strength or stiffness—achieving a remarkable 300g reduction compared to its predecessor.
