Anthurium metallicum is a distinctive species showcasing remarkable foliar characteristics that make it highly sought after by collectors for its elongated, velvety leaves with striking white venation patterns.
- Light: Bright indirect light to maintain vibrant leaf color and promote healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. Adaptable to low-light conditions.
- Temperature: Cooler growing preference with ideal conditions ranging from 10-26°C (50-77°F). Protect from temperatures below 10°C (50°F) and cold drafts.
- Humidity: High humidity levels of 60-80% are essential. Use a humidifier, pebble tray with water, or group with other humidity-loving plants to create a microclimate.
- Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top layer feels slightly dry to the touch with excellent drainage to prevent waterlogging and root rot.
